Sun Kissed

How it is nearly May I do not know, the year seems to be flying by! Once again I popped into Superdrug for a little retail therapy and picked up these bargains.
The blogging world is going crazy over the Garnier Summer Body Moisturising Lotion. I've been using it for a while now and love it, mainly because it doesn't give off that awful fake tan smell. When I restocked up in Superdrug I found they currently have an offer on. This 250ml was reduced to half price for £2.54! Bargain on what?!

And of course a trip to Superdrug isn't a trip to Superdrug without stopping at the MUA counter and getting some new lipstick for £1.00 each!
From left to right I brought shade 12, 16 - Nectar and Shade 4 which is a Lipstick which I already own and didn't realise, must be a sign that I own too much?!

What have you been buying recently?!

My World.

I don't usually write personal posts on my blog and I feel I ought to a bit more so that you guys get to see the real me. But at the moment I'm having a bit of writers block and to be honest a bit fed up of writing just product reviews, I want to write something a bit more 'real' and it maybe that I'm feeling particularly soppy as to why I'm writing this post.

I don't tend to mention my boyfriend Tyler an awful lot, but I feel he deserves this little post. Last month we celebrated our first anniversary together and I cannot tell you how quickly it has come around. It feels like yesterday when I wrote my post on committing the worst dating rule of all, as Tyler was my Exes best friend. Yes some may think that's a total bitch thing to do but it was all honestly for the best and the both of us couldn't be happier. It's not like me and my Ex broke up and we got together, it was five months after and my Ex was given plenty of opportunities to say if he wasn't happy with it. I don't dislike my Ex because if it hadn't of been for him I would never of met the guy I love so much.

I have never met anyone who genuinely makes me so happy, knows me the way he does, puts himself out for me and I can never stop thinking about him. There are so many things which he does for me which I am completely grateful for, even just the little things like giving me a back tickle to send me to sleep. I could gush about him for hours, I really could. There are days where my cheeks physically hurt from smiling too much. Of course we have little silly bickers, mainly because his favourite game is winding me up, and to be honest I always react to it, but over the past 13 months I can honestly say we have only every argued about 3 times, which is pretty incredible considering how argumentative I am, he just brings out the best in me.

We have been through a lot together and each day we just get stronger and stronger. I know I'm only 19 and a lot of my readers are a few years older than that, so maybe I seem like a silly girl, but everyone knows when something is meant to be and this just feels to good to ever give up on, he really is the other half of me. I always say that the future is the future, it can't always be written, but that doesn't stop me from dreaming, I just hope that mine is with him. Some girls may think this post is silly and soppy, sorry if you do but our relationship hasn't changed me. I still have all my friends as does he, and our relationship doesn't make me any less independent, I just want to share it all with him

With his love and support, more than ever, I feel I can over come anything and achieve everything. With my hand on my heart I can truly say I love him, and it is he who has taught me what love is.

Showering With Liz Earle

It's no secret that I'm a huge lover of Liz Earle, I think their products are just fantastic. I haven't come across one which I don't think has worked for me or I've agreed with. All products just do wonders for my skin. At Christmas I received a gift set with these three products in which you can each be brought individually and come from the Energising range. I've now popped these into my travel bag as they are the perfect size for taking away with me and pampering myself on my travels.
Energising Body Wash
The energising body wash is great for those early morning starts as the scent is really refreshing and really wakens you up. I can be easily put off a product if the scent is too over powering, but luckily this isn't. I'm also not much of a lover of the scent Rose, but it isn't the strongest scent in the product. I love how easily the product foams up too, as sometimes I find I need loads of product to get a good lather to be able to wash myself properly. For a 100ml bottle the product is £8.75 but a 200ml bottle can be brought for £12.00
Energising Body Scrub
To me, Body Scrubs are Body Scrubs but I particularly like this one from Liz Earle. It's quite soft and isn't like sandpaper as sometimes I find some scrubs to be too harsh on my skin and at the end my skin is left red and raw as if it's just had layers taken off it. Fortunately, Liz Earle has got her formula just right and you could even use this each day for that extra softness. With the scrub I could smell more hints of tea-tree than I could with the Body Wash, but it's still just as lovely and refreshing. A 50ml tube which I have retails at £6.00 and a 200ml retails at £14.00. This is a product which I'll definitely be repurchasing in the near future.
Energising Body Lotion
Recently, I've been beginning to moisturise my body daily, or as often as possible. Now lots of people will say 'how on earth do you have time for that?!' and I have to agree that sometimes it can be a bit time consuming, which is why I always hunt for the moisturisers which aren't sticky and don't take a long time to dry. I thought that this moisturiser would be one which I wouldn't use because it would be too rich and would take too long to dry. Well I couldn't have been further wrong. A little really does go a long way with this product, it soaks into the skin quickly and easily, which means you're not there forever trying to rub it in, and finally, it's incredibly quick drying. That's not even the best part, the best part is that along with the easy application it is also incredibly moisturising and luxurious. I find myself reaching for this moisturiser in the evenings too as I love the hint of Lavender in it, I find it incredibly relaxing. This product was such a hit for me that I've already purchased the 150ml tube for £18.00, the 30ml tube can also be brought for £5.25.

I've found these travel sized products a great way for testing and trying out new products to see if you do like the product, they are now stored away in my travel wash bag ready for any adventures I'll be going on. I know that these products are a little pricey, but everyone deserves a bit of luxury every now and then, and they're great for birthdays and Christmas, There just isn't any faulting Liz Earle.

Have you tried Liz Earle? What's your favourite product?

Barry M Lipstick In Shade 140

A while back I purchased some Barry M lipsticks and only recently have I gotten around to trying them, and I wish I'd done it sooner, I love these lipsticks! This lipstick is shade 140, personally I think Barry M could come up with something a bit more inventive than numbers! The packaging is also very original which I love, I love the sleek black look, with the logo in gold.
This colour is a gorgeous bright pink which I've been using to spruce up my outfits as I'm seriously fed up of this weather now, I want it to be at least 15 degrees, but I guess that's typical of England for you!
This lipstick has flecks of glitter running through it, which some people might not like, but I do, especially for a night out. This is my first Barry M lipstick and I was amazed at how pigmented it was and how easy it was to apply as sometimes I find myself applying several coats and then I keep having to reapply it, but luckily this lipstick has great staying power. Another bonus to me, and this is another big factor as to why I  love it so much is that it doesn't cling to all those places which you don't want a lipstick to, to reveal all your cracks, chaps and dry lips. I find it really off putting when lipsticks do this, so always look for rich or moisturising formula's. I really cannot fault this lipstick what so ever, and it's even made it's way to the favourites pile which I think is great for a lippy that costs £4.49!

Lipstick Crazy

I somehow seem to have gone crazy with my recent purchases, especially lip products. I'm finding it a wee bit ridiculous just how many I've brought over the past few weeks, but honestly, they were all necessities!
MUA PowerPout £3.00 each Nail Polish £1.00
Firstly is MUA, a few weeks ago I did a post telling you about the new release of their Power Pouts. MUA just seem to be going from strength to strength at the moment. Whilst waiting for my train home today, I popped into Superdrug, (it's the worst habit I have,) and picked up a few of the colours I had my eye on. Luckily, they were very well stocked so I had my pick of the bunch. From left to right I brought Irreplaceable, Broken Hearted and Justify. They are obviously so similar to the Revlon Lipstains, but I have to say, already I prefer the smell of the Power Pouts than to the Revlon Lipstains! I also brought a Nail Polish. MUA have changed the packaging of their Nail Polishes and they are very much identical to Essie Polishes, except they are a lot smaller. I haven't tried their polishes yet so I thought I'd give them a go, and picked one up the colour Strawberry Crush.
Rimmel Apocalips £5.99 each Kate Moss Lipstick £5.49
Finally, when Superdrug held their 3 for 2 offer I couldn't resist purchasing some more Rimmel Apocalips, I now own five in my favourite colours, and I'm hoping that that'll be it for now! From left to write I brought shades Luna and Stella. I'm also wanting to try my hand at coral Lipstick so I went for a Kate Moss Lippie in shade 16 as I already own two, one from her first collection and one from her Matte collection and I love them both, so I'm expecting good things for this one too!

Hope you all had a good start to the week! What have you been purchasing recently?!

Sunday Catchup.

Image taken from WeHeartIt.

As I'm writing this post I'm rushing around trying to get ready and also finishing the rest whilst in the car! Girls are definitely natural born multi-taskers! I haven't done a 'Sunday Summary' or a catch up in such a long time and I thought this post would just be perfect to end my Easter Holidays and the week I've just had.

- Firstly, on Friday, I passed my driving test! Now if you've been following my blog from the beginning you might have noticed that every so often something about driving and learning crops up. Well I'm pleased to say that finally, after two years and three attempts I have finally done it and never will have to take that horrid test again! I'm not at all a bad driver, I just severely lacked confidence and on my tests I would make the most stupidest and simplest mistakes which resulted in a major and me failing. But this time I got my nerves under control and did a one week intensive course which I recommend to anyone who suffers with nerves or confidence when it comes to driving. Getting in the car everyday for 5 days, 4 hours a day just did wonders for my confidence and although it was tough I wouldn't have done it any other way. I'm just so over the moon and have loved driving my little yellow Mini around this weekend!

- I've finally decided that I want to go to Uni to study Early Childhood Studies. I know I'm  a late applicant and will have to go through clearing, but I'm trying. The Uni's I'm looking at going to are Oxford Brookes, London Met and Croydon. If any of you go to these Uni's or are studying the course please get in touch and leave me a comment, would love to find out more information and actually get a personal opinion!

- Unfortunately, in February I got made redundant. Luckily enough I had lots of money saved up and still do, but job hunting is proving to be so difficult. I want a part-time job in retail as that's what I've been doing for the past few years but they're now looking for people with 5-10 years experience and I got told I was under qualified! It's becoming a joke, each week I'm handing out CV's filling in applications. I'm really starting to hate on the government and economy. Politics in general just makes me so angry, they haven't a clue how to run the county, which makes this weeks death of Maggie so sad, and I'm so angry at all the abuse which is being hurled around all related to her. What makes it worse is it's by people who either weren't even born, or weren't old enough to know what she did for out country when she was in power. I'm not saying I know a lot as I'm only 19, but I'm mature enough to be respectful and realise what she did do. It's absolutely disgusting what these people are doing!

- Although there hasn't been masses of interesting things which have been going on in my life recently, well none to you guys. I love spending my weekends with my family, boyfriends and friends. I just wanted a little chat with you all, as we haven't had one in a while. With all these changes going on at the moment, I'm finally starting to feel myself growing up and maturing, and I love it. My life right now couldn't be any better and I'm extremely happy and content! I loved the picture I stole from WeHeartIt because although as we all mature, grow up and live our own separate lives, there will always be that part of me that wants to stay a child forever!

I hope you've all had lovely weekends and Easter breaks! What have you all been up to recently? I'd love to hear from you.

Elf Zit Zapper

Normally I happen to be really lucky when it comes to spots with regards to I rarely ever get them much to the envy of my boyfriend. But when I do they are horrible, painful little sods. If I eat a nice clean diet and not all that crap and junk which I find it so hard to resist, along with drinking around 2liters of water a day which I generally do, then I'm in the safe zone of not getting any. I'm most prone to spots when it's coming up to that lady time of the month, and then they start to brew.

As soon as I notice that round hurting blob on my face I immediately apply my Elf Zit Zapper to it using the rollerball application. Around 9 times out of 10 it will actually work, the redness will start to go down and a head won't appear. Of course there are times when it won't work or I'm too late when it comes to noticing it, but the Zit Zapper really has been my hero when I do get them.

At £1.50 from Elf you really can't go wrong with this product. I brought it on a bit of a whim thinking if it works, it works. If it doesn't it was only £1.50. So it actually working was a huge bonus. The Zit Zapper contains Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, Witch Hazel and Camphor. It's these ingredients which help it to reduce blemishes and redness, prevent acne and minimise pores. I'm a very sceptical person when it comes to treatments for spots because I do believe a good diet, lots of water and a good skin care routine really is the way to clear skin, but for some reason or another this really does work the majority of the time. There are also other reviews on the Elf website when you go to buy this product and I have to say, I agree with them, it is a great product which does work. But like I said before, it isn't a guarantee that it will work as you may catch the spot too late and it may already have a head, but it will reduce the horrible redness and swelling.

Have you tried any Zit Zappers?

Dot By Marc Jacobs

With the sun trying to peak through the cracks in the clouds I am definitely getting that spring/summer feeling. I can't wait for the day where I can step outside the house without having to wear my winter coat or a pair of boots. I long for those days where I can walk out the house in just a vest top, permanently wear sunglasses and it still be warm as I'm sipping on a nice cold glass of wine outside the pub watching the sun set. Yes, yes I am still dreaming!
Summer is also a time for me where I love to wear those fresh girly scents and what better way to do that than by wearing a bit of Marc Jacobs?!
If you say to me "Marc Jacobs" it immediately reminds me of Daisy. Daisy has to be my ultimate favourite perfume which just so happens to have been stolen off of me by my Mum. When I worked at House of Fraser I would constantly be spritzing myself with it and one day when I came home my Mum complimented me on the perfume, so I knew it would be a great gift idea, one which she loved and still keeps on repurchasing. At Christmas I received a Boots voucher and rather than wasting it on make up I really don't need I thought I'd get something a bit more luxurious and treated myself to a perfume, yes I know I didn't really need another either!
All perfumes by Marc Jacobs come in bottles with incredible lids which to me is what makes the brand stand out so well. I choose Dot because it's different to Daisy, and I was after different. Dot is a very light, refreshing fragrance with a nice helping of florals. This really will be my summer scent and personally, I love it, plus it looks good on my dressing table too!
My bottle which I brought is 30ml and retails at £37.00. The perfume can also be brought in 50ml for £47.00 or 100ml for £63.00

Which is your favourite Marc Jacobs perfume?!
