For those of you reading this post I want to wish you a very Happy New Year and welcome back to Glitter and Sparkle for 2014. Honestly, just where did 2013 go? I know towards to end of the year I stopped blogging quite a lot but that was due to starting university and settling into a new routine and also, technology has seriously been failing on me recently when it comes to my Laptop and the internet! However, I'm back and I have lots planned!

2013 was a brilliant year for me which at the beginning of the year saw me turn 19 and be whisked away for a lovely weekend in Paris by my boyfriend. Throughout the year I accomplished many things such as passing my driving test, doing well at college and receiving an A*AA in my college course which then led to me starting University in Oxford which has been the highlight of my year and most probably one of the best things I have ever done as I've met the best people and friends ever through it. I've also fallen head over heels in love with my course and can't wait to become a primary school teacher! All in all I've had such great year in 2013 and have had so much fun and made so many incredible memories. There's also so much to look forward to for 2014 starting with my 20th birthday next week and celebrating our two year anniversary with Tyler. How exciting?!

I'm not going to set any goals for 2014 other than to remain always happy and positive!
Hope you all had a good Christmas and new year, a late What I Got for Christmas post will be coming soon!
Just a quick photo of Tyler and I just after midnight on New Years Eve!

Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013

I really cannot believe that another year has passed already. It's so incredibly scary how time really is flying past.
I've sat and looked back at the goals which I made at the start of the year and I'm pleased to say that I have managed to achieve most of them.
1. I wanted to have a better skin care routine and if you're a regular reader you'll know that I have gone skin care crazy! I have found so many new products which I love and my routine has improved drastically and for the better but I'll always be on the hunt for ways in which I can improve it even more
2. I wanted to blog more frequently. I have been blogging at every spare moment I can get, I aim to blog at least once a week. but I feel that there is no point in sticking to some sort of schedule as I've found that living life is far more important. I love blogging and I always will, but I don't want it to become a chore, I want to carry on enjoying what I do.
3. Become more healthy with diet and exercise - It has taken me nearly a whole year to do this. I finally have my gym membership, now I need to find the motivation. I am usually a healthy eater but everyone has those naughty days now and then.
4. I wanted to smile and laugh lots. I definitely have done this! I'm not going to lie and say that there weren't any bad parts of 2012 because there were, such as losing a friend to cancer and the break up of my family, but the good parts definitely outweigh the bad! I have had the best year ever with my boyfriend, family and friends and loved every single second of it!
5. I wanted to quit smoking, and I am so pleased to say that I have also achieved this. I finally managed to stop in October, better late than never but I feel so much better for doing so. Yes I did gain a little weight when I stopped but I feel a lot healthier and I know it'll be so much better for me in the long run.
6. Save money. Hallelujah! I can't believe I'm saying this but from my part time job I manage to save away £200 a month which has enabled me to do so much more than if I didn't save, I am not the saving freak of my household!
7. To have lots of fun and happiness. I definitely did this in 2012. At the beginning of the year I turned 18 and am now approaching my 19th birthday, but I have had so much fun being 18. I have made some great memories this year along with friends. I fell in love with the most amazing guy who truly treats me like a princess. My relationship with my family, especially my Mum improved so much. I generally have been so happy this year, and I want to keep it that way for 2013!
My Goals For 2013:
- Remain happy
- Carry on to improve the relationship with my mum and family
- Get the help which I need in order to tackle the last remaining skeletons in the closet
- Pass my driving test
- Travel more around England and abroad.
- Find lots of motivation
- Carry on to improve my fitness levels
- Finish my last year of education and leave with my predicted results of a triple distinction
- Carry on enjoying blogging
- Participate in an international swap
- Take more chances
- Learn to say yes to offers more.
- Have just as much fun and happiness in 2013 as I did 2012.

What are your goals?
I wish you all a Happy New Year and have an amazing 2013!

#38 The First Day Of Forever.

I would just like to say a very Happy New Year to all my lovely followers. I hope you all had a great time last night like myself. I went to a wild house party, which was just crazy, and only now am I beginning to recover from it!
2011 has been a great year for me, I entered it kissing the guy who I can genuinely say I love and care the most for, we shared an amazing year together which included a fabulous holiday to Turkey and many, many memories, but sadly an end to the relationship. But I cannot say that things didn't turn out the way they should, because who are we to dictate the future? Things happen for a reason and this could have only been for the best. But what I can honestly say is that he is still such a huge part of my life still and I am so grateful to have him as such a great friend, especially as he's still been here to wipe away my tears.

2011 has also seen a big changes for me. It saw me turn 17 and learn to drive... even though I'm still learning with my test in a few weeks! It saw me fail miserable in my AS exams and drop out and join college to pursue a carer in the forces. It saw me make the drastic change from Brunette to Barbie Blonde. It saw me creating this blog and growing from strength to strength. I gained some amazing friends this year too who I couldn't bare to be without, especially my best friend. The list for all the wonderful and amazing things I have done and achieved this year is endless, 2011 has really been my year! I can only hope that 2012 does the same for me all over again and to make sure it does I'm going to throw in a few little promises I want to make to myself.

In 2012 I want to...

  • Have a better skin care routine
  • Blog frequently
  • Become more healthy with my diet and exercise
  • Smile and laugh lots
  • Quit smoking
  • Save money
  • But most importantly I want to have lots of fun and happiness, the year is what you make it
I wish all of you an amazing 2012!
