Life Lately...

Image taken from WeHeartIt

I know I've been rather absent lately, but I'm not abandoning my blog, I promise. It's just I'm finding the deadlines for all my college assignments, work and then juggling having a life all rather stressful at the moment as the dead lines approach.

In my last post I told you that I got the job which I went for, which don't get me wrong is great. It's just I'm finding myself doing nearly 40 hours a week when I'm supposed to be contracted to 12. I know it's half term at the moment but I've not had any time for college work and my Supervisor is telling me that I have to do these hours, He is a complete and utter tosser. There will always be bad parts to any job and he certainly is mine, He's a complete and utter slime ball too! But I put my foot down and from now on I'm going to be doing less hours until I finish college so that I can focus on my assignments.

In the mean time I'll try to keep blogging if I have some spare time and keep you all updated. But if I'm not, then I'm busy undigging my head from the sand and trying to get the last month of college over with!

See you all soon!!

Topshop Cosmetics

You all know that I'm late with jumping onto the bandwagon with products and brands, always have been, and always will. After reading quite a few good reviews about Topshop makeup I knew I had to try some, so after my job interview at the weekend (WHICH I GOT, BY THE WAY GUYS, YAY ME!) I headed to Topshop to investigate their products, which is where I picked up a Lipstick and a blush. Can I just say, how cute is their packaging?! I didn't want to throw the boxes away, but decided I wasn't going to become the ultimate hoarder! The packaging is also very sturdy, so in that morning rush you can just throw these into you bag and not have to worry about them being damaged or any breakage or smashing of products.
I cannot get over how cute the packaging is, I love it! I opted for two of my favourite colours, a nice bright pink for lips and a peachy/coral for cheeks, these are two of my favourite summer trends at the moment! This is also the first cream blusher which I've owned in a long time. A few years back I owned one but threw it away after struggling to use it and never using it. But now, I think the formula's have of cream blushes have improved and my make up skills have also improved, (I'd like to think!) allowing me to apply cream blushes with ease. Phew.
This Lipstick immediately stuck out to me, but I think that's because I have a love of all things pink! I only wanted to get one Lipstick but I'm telling you, I could have brought them all! Well at least several...
I was pleasantly surprised at how creamy and moisturising these lipsticks are, which for someone with dry lips such as myself is always a bonus. The Lipstick also applies evenly, so if you're in a rush you don't have to worry about wasting time using a lip primer or brush, it just glides on effortlessly. It is also incredibly pigmented so you don't have to worry about building the colour. Although, obviously, the more you apply the more bold and vibrant the colour will be.
I thought I'd play it safe with this blusher as it can look really natural if you really blend it well, or you can use it for a more bold look. As it's name suggest I really have fallen head over heels in love with this product. I don't find it too creamy, and it blends really easily and you can either use your finger or a stippling brush for this. The best part about this product is although it's cream based once it's applied it becomes more powder based making it more easy to work with. Maybe it's because sometimes I can be lazy with my make up routine as to why this product is such a favourite, it's really quite effortless and perfect for beginners, it's certainly got me loving cream blushes again!

Have you tried any make up from the Topshop range yet?

My Soap & Glory Collection

I've been debating whether or not to write this post for a while now. If you follow me on Instagram then you'll know I post a lot on beauty products, especially my love for Soap & Glory and I get quite a few comments asking to see my whole collection so I thought I'd do it in a blogpost and break it down in products. This is in no means me bragging about what I have, it's what my followers and readers have asked to see, so please don't leave any negative comments about me 'showing off'
Soap & Glory are one of my favourite brands for skin and body care, I especially love using these products for a little pamper, especially as they smell so great! It's also a fairly inexpensive brand which is probably why I have so much, because it doesn't really break my bank balance, especially when it's all on offer at Boots with 3 for 2!
- Clean Mary Cleansing Milk
- Great Shakes Hand Cream
- Girligo Body Moisturising Mist 250ml - £6.50

So there you have my Soap & Glory collection. For some of the products there will be reviews coming soon, if there is something which you specifically want to see then leave me a comment! I don't think I'll ever stop buying and adding to my collection, I'm addicted to the smell and the quality of the products. The cute, quirky packaging is just a bonus!

Do you have a Soap & Glory obsession too?!

Primark Spring/Summer Shoes

Today is such a happy day. I had a job interview this morning which I felt went really well (keep your fingers crossed for me!) After the interview I then went and did some shopping as I desperately need to restock my summer wardrobe. Whilst hunting about in Primark I came across these gorgeous shoes, and I had to have them!
Firstly are these black faux suede pointed shoes. A while back I went off pointed shoes but the flats are starting to grow on me, which is why I picked two styles up today. I'm still not sure how I feel about pointy heels though! I tend to go for a lot of black in my outfits out of habi,t and I've found that I don't have any casual flat black shoes so for £5.00, these are perfect!
Next are these. They are the exact same material and style as the black shoes above except with an embellished bow. The black shoes above did actually come in this colour but they didn't have them in my size. But these will be great for jazzing up outfits with. As much as I love black, I'm also a huge neutral girl and will always go for browns and creams. These retail at £6.00.
Finally, are these gorgeous coral, embellished pumps for £6.00. I am absolutely loving coral this season and when I do want to spruce up my outfits with a bit of colour these will be perfect! They also do these in alternate colours, so the shoe is cream and the bow is coral. I might go back and get them next time but I decided that for now, 3 pairs was enough!

So there you have it, 3 pairs of shoes for £17.00!! I don't expect them to be amazing quality, but they'll do for this season.

RiRi and Nicki Ft. Superdrugs 3 for 2

I think I am the worst impulse buyer ever!! Today I was in a really crappy mood, so I did what I always do and headed down to Superdrug as in the morning I received an email telling me about their 3 for 2 offer across all brands, so why not, I needed the cheering up and I love what I got!
Firstly is lips. My Superdrug are finally stocking the Sleek Lipstick Palettes! I found it so hard as to which one to buy first, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to go back and buy the other 3 in the 3 for 2 offer! At the moment I'm seriously loving my bright pinks so I opted for Showgirl, and I cannot wait to have a play around with this palette. These are retailing at £8.99 which I don't think is unreasonable for a lipstick quad.
Next is the Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipsticks I've seen so many posts and have been totally undecided on which colour to buy so today I took the plunge and carried on the pink theme with 08 Rose Studio. Which again is another gorgeous coloured lipstick for £7.99
Not to long ago MUA also released their baked trio eyeshadows. Now I have some of their original trios but being the MUA fanatic that I am, I had to try the baked trios. Now I know these look very similar but I had to get both because I really couldn't decide on which one to buy. The eyeshadow on the right hand side I'm pretty sure is the same in both but on the right trio the bottom and left eyeshadow are quite a bit darker than the left trio so for £3.00 and with one of them being free I decided to get both. On the left is Legendary and on the right is Emotions.
Finally, let me introduce you to my new babies. I decided a while back that I really wanted to buy my first MAC Lipstick but I couldn't decide on which one as there are hundreds of gorgeous colours to choose from. That was until RiRi Woo was about to be launched. I love a good red lippy and although many people said it's a copy of Ruby Woo that didn't bother me because I didn't own it and they're the same price, and plus, I am such a Rihanna fan girl.
My next baby is the Nicki Minaj Pink Friday perfume. You all know that I'm a perfume addict and absolutely adore Nicki so when I smelt it I knew I had to purchase it on the introductory offer of £22.00 before it went up in price!

I've loved all that I've been buying recently and will be reviewing them all soon. What have you all been buying lately?

Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake

Yes, today is all about this baby. I know I'm really late with jumping onto the bandwagon or joining the hype of certain products, (other than my latest purchase, if you haven't seen my Instagram I brought my first Mac lipstick in the form or RiRi Woo!) But it was worth the wait as I read lots of reviews, I grew more and more intrigued about the lip butters and finally brought one in the shade Strawberry Shortcake, and I haven't looked back! I suffer from really dry lips and this is a gods send! It's really moisturising and the colour is beautiful, perfect for natural looks in the day but the shade can be made more bold by applying more coats to the lips.
It's a very glossy texture and a beautiful colour. I definitely want to try out other shades in their range, especially their new spring/summer collection and for £7.99 they're not too badly priced either. The application is also brilliant, I love how it doesn't cling to the cracks in my lips and show off the bits which I don't want emphasised!
Sometimes I think it's best to wait around a bit when new products come out to read reviews and swatch them for yourself because I think I've found one of my favourite lippys here!

Have you tried any of the Revlon Lipbutters?

Cath Kidston Bath & Body

I recently received this Cath Kidston Bath & Body gift set, which is something which I wouldn't think to pick up myself, not just the gift set but any Cath Kidston product. It's not that I' not a fan, well I'm probably not seeing as I've never brought anything from Cath Kidston, it's just not a shop which I would choose to shop on. Don't get me wrong, I still think they do lovely things, just not for me. However, I love this little gift set!

I love how this set is just complete, everything you need to give your self a pamper and to have some 'me time' which is always my favourite time. I The case which this all comes in is gorgeous along with the packaging of the products, which has well and truly stuck to the Cath Kidston theme. The makeup bag I've kept and I'm using it to store travel and sample sized products in as it's just the perfect size and then they can all be kept together. I think I'm starting to get the hang of organisation!
These Bath Crystals are perfect for relaxing in the bath. They smell heavenly, of blossom and rose. I was also surprised when I saw that there was this cute candle and tea light. I've been using this in my bedroom and carrying it through into the bathroom for that perfect relaxation mood. I don't know many gift sets like this which come with candles so I love it. A muslin flannel also came with the set. I'll use this more for my face as I prefer using sponges in the bath and shower.
And these were my favourite products. The soap always comes in handy at some point, especially after my LUSH soap runs out. But for now it's in my knicker draw, making my draws smell pretty. (Please tell me I'm not the only one to out soap bars and empty perfume bottles in my undies draws?!)
This shower gel and body lotion are slowly going to become my favourites, and because they aren't full sizes I've had to put them away into my travelling bag for when any over night stays I may have. They both have a very light refreshing floral fragrance to them which is perfect for the current spring/summer, and the body lotion is also very quick drying which is always a bonus!

Have you tried any Cath Kidston beauty products?
