Beauty | Soap & Glory: The Yule Monty

This Christmas one of my favourite presents was the Soap & Glory Yule Monty gift set. If you don't know by now, I am a massive Soap & Glory fan and the huge gift set just satisfies all my S&G needs!! The carry-case in which it all came in was also designed by Jonathan Saunders this year, and each year the case is designed differently, but this one will sure be a keeper to store all my products in!

Although you can no longer buy the gift set from Boots, all the products are individually available to buy and for what you pay, I consider them to be very worth when you also look at the quantity of the product. Each Christmas Soap & Glory also bring out a large gift set just like this one for around £60. However, just before Christmas there is always a period of time where the gift set goes down to less than half price, and when you think that about 3 of the products can individually cost £10 each, then that's a complete bargain, so it's always worth waiting for that offer!

As well as skin and body care Soap and Glory also do cosmetics. I'm yet to try any of their other products as I've only used the Thick & Fast Mascara which I adore, and am ever so near to running out, so this arrived just in time!

Some of the products here are dupes of what I already own, but personally I think you can never have enough Soap & Glory, although my boyfriend seems to think differently...

Full reviews on some of the products will be coming soon!

Lifestyle | What I Got For Christmas

This post isn't a post about me bragging about what I received for Christmas, because to be honest, I found the generosity of my family, boyfriend and friends slightly overwhelming! No, I am writing this post because I enjoy reading others posts on what they received for Christmas or even birthdays, and I know I'm not the only one!
I received lots of lovely girly bits and pieces for my room. It's currently in the process of having new licks of paint on it and a few new bits of furniture, but I take so much pride in how my room looks and I'm always looking for more bits and pieces to make it look even more beautiful. The Katie Piper books were one of my favourites, I love Katie, and she truly is my inspiration. I think I may do posts on these especially the Start Your Day With Katie, I'm gaining my own positivity from her little quotes each day. And I've fallen head over heels for my onesie. It's from Next, and so incredibly soft, Mum couldn't resist getting it for me!

Again, I was a lucky girl and got the Kindle Paperwhite. I'd had the original kindle for just over a year before the screen broke, and I'm lucky enough to get a new one this Christmas, and I can't believe just how much better the Paperwhite is to the original. It means no more reading in bed and falling asleep with the light on! And of course, no Christmas is complete without lots of bath smellies!

The Soap and Glory Yule Tide Monty set was a favourite this year, I now have even more to add to my collection! Somehow Mum always manages to source pretty undies sets for Christmas which I love to bits. But it's always a bit awkward opening up a set of silk lacy underwear in front of your boyfriend and then the rest of your family, I think they knew what he was thinking just from the look on his face! The above picture are the presents which my gorgeous boyfriend spoiled me with. He has truly been incredible this year and I can't believe how lucky I was. The ring also came as a bit of a surprise as I had given many hints to which he said there was no way I was getting it on this earth. So after everyone had opened their presents he then finally presented me with it. There was a slight heart stopping moment where I did think he was going to propose, and so did the rest of my family! Haha.
Sadly, it's really hard to get a good picture of just how beautiful the ring is, it's silver with a diamond set in gold, and I absolutely love it and haven't stopped wearing it since!

Even now, reminiscing over Christmas I'm almost having to stop myself from welling up! Christmas 2013 has just been breathtaking. I spent the day with all my loved ones including my family, and Tyler's family. I ate tonnes of incredible food, although I didn't get merry due to being a responsible driver! Now more than ever so, I am incredibly grateful and in love with all the wonderful people in my life!

What did you get for Christmas?!

Skincare | Clean Mary Cleansing Milk By Soap & Glory

You may all be fully aware that Soap & Glory have had a bit of a product revamp when it comes to their skincare, and I have to say I am a big fan of their new look. However, I am also still in love with their original products which they brought out and you can no longer buy in places like Boots. Unless you're a bit internet savvy and manage to find your old favourites in places such as ASOS.

Clean Mary is a brilliant, milky, cleansing wash which contains Andiroba Oil and Acid-Free Exfoliators, which makes it perfect for using in your daily routine, like I do. The cleanser is easy to apply and works really well to remove all traces of my make up from the day. Sometimes with other products I find myself having to cleanse twice to make sure all my make up has been removed, but not with Clean Mary, once is enough. However, it's not that strong to remove stubborn Mascara, I'll always use eye make up remover for that. The consistency of the cleanser is also incredibly milky, which to begin with I thought I might struggle with as I'm more used to my cream based cleansers such as the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. But it still went down a treat and soon enough became incorporated into my daily routine.

And of course, where would we be without that classic, great packaging from Soap and Glory. I have to say, compared to the new packaging, I much prefer the original with the pin-up girls and witty catchphrases and slogans.

Even though Clean Mary can no longer be brought in Boots or online from their website it is available on websites such as ASOS where you can buy 18oml of product for £6.15. It is even currently in the sale for £4.00! It's a bargain not to be missed.

My Soap & Glory Collection

I've been debating whether or not to write this post for a while now. If you follow me on Instagram then you'll know I post a lot on beauty products, especially my love for Soap & Glory and I get quite a few comments asking to see my whole collection so I thought I'd do it in a blogpost and break it down in products. This is in no means me bragging about what I have, it's what my followers and readers have asked to see, so please don't leave any negative comments about me 'showing off'
Soap & Glory are one of my favourite brands for skin and body care, I especially love using these products for a little pamper, especially as they smell so great! It's also a fairly inexpensive brand which is probably why I have so much, because it doesn't really break my bank balance, especially when it's all on offer at Boots with 3 for 2!
- Clean Mary Cleansing Milk
- Great Shakes Hand Cream
- Girligo Body Moisturising Mist 250ml - £6.50

So there you have my Soap & Glory collection. For some of the products there will be reviews coming soon, if there is something which you specifically want to see then leave me a comment! I don't think I'll ever stop buying and adding to my collection, I'm addicted to the smell and the quality of the products. The cute, quirky packaging is just a bonus!

Do you have a Soap & Glory obsession too?!

Haulin'

I am such a sucker it's becoming ridiculous. As soon as I step into Boots or Superdrug they're laughing!! The majority of all these lovely beautiful things have been brought because there was some sort of offer on them one way or another, except the MUA, I just had to have the MUA! This post is bit picture heavy but that's because each photo shows the offer. So if you'd like the laugh at how easy I get sucked into buying things, then continue to read and then leave me a comment about how foolish I've been. But one way or another, I will justify each and every piece of this lovely beauty-ness!
First up is Soap and Glory. They are my biggest beauty weakness when it comes to beauty. I will one day do a post on my collection, it's just ridiculous, and I just keep on and on buying more. However, I did save myself a whooping £10 as when you spend £10 or more on beauty products you get the lovely tub of Butter Yourself free. It would just be point black rude really wouldn't it? One of the things which I don't have in my collection yet is Pulp Friction and I've heard so many people rave about it and it won a Stylist Skincare award in 2012. It smells incredible and its self and Butter Yourself have the same fragrance. Pulp Friction costs £8.00 and I didn't want to spend out on another full sized product so I picked up the last Hand Maid hand-sanitiser for £2.50, these are just perfect, they smell great and I take mine everywhere. So this little lot enabled me to get my free Butter Yourself. Yaay! The offer is not valid on Soap and Glorys skincare range, however on their skin care range they had an offer of buy one product and get another half price.
Next up are the Barry M Gelly Hi Shines. Again I have succumbed to bblogger peer pressure after everyone saying how great they were and I have to admit, they really were. Superdrug were doing an offer on the Hi Shines of 2 for £6.00, which I'm not sure they're doing now, but do make sure you check if they are. However, Boots currently have their 3 for 2 offer on at the moment. So from left to right I picked up Blueberry, Dragon and Papaya. I don't really have very many pastel colours for summer so these are great and I've already tried Dragon and I was so impressed with the results!
More Nail Polish? Really? Well yes, because I don't have anything sort of like these colours. Told you I could justify everything and plus NYC in Superdrug have an offer of any two nail polishes for £2.99. As you could imagine the stand was verging on empty as it was across their whole nail polish range, but luckily these two are gorgeous and I picked them up in shades Lincoln Square Lavender and Greenwich Village from left to right.
More nail polish? Yes, I promise you this is the last one and again it was bblogger pressure, it looks so pretty and everyone says how good it is so I have to have it, but it's okay, because it was free with the 3 for 2 offer at Boots. Win, win! The L'oreal Top Coat Confetti is an amazing top coat to give your nails that speckled look and retails at £4.99. Next is Bourjois Effect 3D Lipgloss. I've been wanting to try out Coral lips but I'm too scared to go straight in with a lipstick so I thought I'd ease my way in with those gorgeous gloss which has hints of gold glitter throughout it. The Lipgloss retails at £7.69 and I brought the shade Corail Idyllic. Finally after falling in love with the Rimmel Apocalips I have added another colour to my collection in the form of Nova for £5.99.
Lastly, I had to feed my MUA addiction with a few pieces from their Undress Your Skin range. Of course I have to pick up the Undress Me Too Palette for a bargain of £3.00 as they currently have a pound off it at the moment along with the Undress Your Skin Highlighter for £2.00 as that also had a pound off it.

As you can see all these things were necessities! What have you been buying recently?!

Christmas 2012 - The Best Yet.

This Christmas really was the best yet. It was spent with my family and all the ones I love. Christmas day and Boxing day consisted to eating and drinking, exchanging presents, playing silly family games, watching all the Christmas TV and dozing by the fire. I wouldn't have spent my Christmas in a different way it really was the best. I was also so incredibly spoilt by my family and boyfriend and I felt it very overwhelming. They had all been so kind and generous and I cannot thank them enough.
I know lots of people like these kinds of posts, myself included as a way to be nosey and see all the fabulous gifts which everyone received. If you don't like these posts then I would suggest you do not read it or comment. This isn't me bragging about what I was given it's a way for bloggers to share what they all got.
As you can tell I've been very spoilt! There really aren't enough words to explain how I feel! I love my family so incredibly much and cannot wait to start 2013 with them!
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas!!
