Secret Santa - Bloggers Edition.

After reading people's posts last year about the Secret Santas they took part in within the blogging community I knew I wanted to take part this year. The Secret Santa is such a fun way for bloggers to come together, share blogs, bond and swap beauty products. The Secret Santa which I took part in was organised by Georgina at Makeup-Pixi3 and Laura at A Day In The Life Of A Scottish Lass both have amazing blogs which I recommend you should check out!
The spending limit for the Secret Santa which we agreed on was £15, I was put with the lovely Bex from Futures and it has been great to chat to her and go out buying gifts which I thought she might like. I also loved the parcel which she sent me as it contained one of my most favourite brands ever.. MUA!
Bex got me right down to a tee! I loved the cute box which it all arrived in, very festive! I've been meaning to try the MUA Lip Booms and BB Cream for ages and just haven't gotten around to it, so these are perfect! I also love Barry M lipsticks but haven't one in red yet. I love how Bex is sticking to the tradition red theme of Christmas, but you can also never go wrong with a classic red lip! I love the No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream which I have had in the past and you can read my review here. Bex also sent me Superdrugs Vitamin E Gentle Eye Make Up Remover. I'm big on skin care and can't wait to try this properly, I wonder if it beats my all time favourite Simple Eye Make Up Remover?!? Finally, it really isn't Christmas without these.. Chocolate Coins, which really didn't last long at all!
Bex has been brilliant and has gotten me some lovely products. I'm definitely going to do another Secret Santa in 2013, and maybe I'll even try some international swaps. So keep your eyes peeled to see that happens in 2013!

Yet more shopping...

Why is it that every time I walk into Superdrug I cannot walk out empty handed? Curse this beauty obsession - my poor bank balance! But moaning aside, I brought some more lovely things. Yay!

Superdrug are currently doing an offer where if you buy a Simple product you get another product (the cheapest) free! So it would be rude not to stock up! So out of these I got the Eye Make Up Remover free, happy days! As you all know I'm obsessed with MUA products and everyones been raving about the Undressed Palette, so this was a must! I've also been dying to try out some Collection products since they relaunched and choose their new Big Fake Ultimate Mascara and the Colour Pout Lipstain in Pucker. I cannot wait to start trying these bits!

Simple Moisturiser - £3.89
Simple Eye Make Up Remover - £3.39 (this item was free with their current deal)
MUA Undressed Palette - £3.00
Collection Colour Pout Lipstain - £4.99
Collection Big Fake Ultimate Mascara - £4.99

Have you tried any of these products? What do you think?

#78 I'm Going Skin Care Crazy!

If you've been reading Beautiful Nellies then you'll know that recently I really want to improve my skin and my skin care routine, so I've been searching for the best products which are going to try and work wonders on my skin! Since my last post on the No7 Beautiful Skin my skin really has improved so if you're looking for a starter kit or something to get you into it then I recommend you read my post back in June on it and purchase the starter kit!

The other day whilst hitting Superdrug I also noticed that they had cut their prices on some of their skin care products so I had to buy them so that I can test them all out and compare them.
The most expensive item which I brought was £3! Can you believe it?! No! Neither could I!
I picked up this Facial Wash Gel which was only £2 and I love testing new face washes, because I really want to see if it does what it says on the tin. Well this time on the bottle! And plus there is no such thing as a too clean a face!
Next up is Simple's Eye Make-Up Remover I absolutely love this product and had to repurchase it after seeing it was only £3!
Finally, I picked up Simple's Replenishing Rich Moisturiser for £2 as you all know I suffer with really dry skin so I want to see if finally this is the magic cure for me!

I can't wait to start testing all the products! So keep you eyes peeled for the reviews!
